Symphony Yeovil is a vibrant Chenda Melam training and performance group based in Yeovil, Somerset, dedicated to preserving and promoting this dynamic percussion art form from Kerala, India.

Practicing under Navadhara School of Music London, the group welcomes children (10+), teens, adults, and ladies who are keen to learn and engage in cultural performances.

Training sessions are held at Marian Hall, The Avenue, Yeovil, BA21 4BN, led by experienced instructor Vinod Navadhara. Sessions take place twice a month on alternate Mondays, with additional practice sessions on the remaining Mondays.We invite enthusiasts from Yeovil and surrounding areas, including Sherborne, Ilchester, Martock, Crewkerne, Somerton, Castle Cary, Dorchester, and Gillingham, to join us in exploring the rich rhythms of Chenda.

Whether you are a beginner or have prior experience, this is a fantastic opportunity to learn, connect with a passionate community, and take part in cultural events across the UK. Free car parking is available on-site for all participants.
